The cohomology of pro-\(p\)-groups with group ring coefficients and virtual Poincaré duality. (Q2508749): Difference between revisions

The author studies the relationship between the group theoretic properties of a pro-\(p\)-group \(G\) and the \(G\)-module structure of the cohomology groups with coefficients in the group ring \(\mathbb{F}_p[\![G]\!]\). In particular, a necessary and sufficient condition for a pro-\(p\)-group \(G\) to contain an open Poincaré subgroup of dimension \(n\) is obtained. Results concerning the possible values of the dimension of \(H^n(G,\mathbb{F}_p[\![G]\!])\) over \(\mathbb{F}_p\) are also obtained.
