The present paper introduces the notion of a stationarily ordered theory generalizing the notion of weak o-minimality. The work studies Vaught's conjecture on the number of countable models. The authors obtained a very partial result in this direction: they confirm Vaught's conjecture for stationarily ordered theories only in the binary case. Observe that the confirmation of this conjecture for binary weakly o-minimal theories follows independently from the works by B. S. Baizhanov, the reviewer, S. V. Sudoplatov and others.
