The authors present a gauge-invariant model by writing the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations by means of observable variables. Moreover, the authors introduce a decomposition of the velocity of superconducting electrons and observe that the choice of the gauge in the classical formulations is equivalent to the choice of a particular decomposition. They deduce some energy estimates which allow to prove the existence of the global attractor. The estimates are established for the system obtained by means of the decomposition of the observable variables which is equivalent to the classical Gor'kov-Èliashberg system.
