The authors prove exact controllability results for a nonlinear dispersion system for two standard types of nonlinearities, namely, Lipschitzian and monotone. The Lipschitzian case is weakened via integral contractor method. The work is an extension to nonlinear case of [\textit{D. L. Russell, B. Y. Zhang}, ''Controllability and stabilizability of the third order linear dispersion equation on a periodic domain,'' SIAM J. Control Optim. 31, 659--676 (1993; Zbl 0771.93073)] in which the authors have considered a linear dispersion system.
