Consider the second order difference equation with continuous variable \[ \Delta _{\tau }^{2}x(t)+f(t,x(t-\sigma ))=0,\quad t\geq t_{0},\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(\tau ,\sigma >0,\) \(\Delta _{\tau }x(t)~=x(t+\tau )-x(t),\) \(\Delta _{\tau }^{2}x(t)=\Delta _{\tau }(\Delta _{\tau }x(t))\) and \(f\in C([t_{0},\infty )\times \mathbb{R},\mathbb{R}).\) By using the Schauder-Tikhonov fixed point theorem, the authors obtained sufficient condition for the existence of bounded positive global solutions of \[ x(t)=k-\int\limits_{t}^{\infty }~\int\limits_{s}^{\infty }~g(h-\zeta (h),x(h-\sigma ))dh~ds .\tag{\(**\)} \] Applying the results obtained for (\(**\)), they proved the existence of bounded continuous nonoscillatory solutions of equation (\(*\)) under quite general conditions on the nonlinear term \(f\).
