The author supplies a generalization of Krasnosel'skij's and Petryshyn's theorems in inner product space. The first result reads as follows: Theorem. Let \(E\) be an inner product space and let \(D\) be a bounded open subset of \(E\) such that \(\theta\in D\). Further, let \(A:\overline D\to E\) be a semiclosed 1-set contractive operator satisfying the condition \[ (Ax,\mu x)^n+ \lambda(Ax,Ax)^n\leq\|\mu x\|^{2n} \] for \(x\in\partial D\), \(n\in\mathbb{N}\), \(\lambda\in [0,1]\) and \(\mu\geq 0\). Then \(Ax=\mu x\) is solution in \(\overline D\). The second result is similar.
