In this paper there are described regions of parameters \((\alpha_0,\dots,\alpha_l)\) for which the perturbed equation \[ \varepsilon \dot{x}(t)=\sum_{r=0}^{l}\alpha_{r}x(t-r), \quad\varepsilon >0 \] and the limit equation \[ 0=\sum_{r=0}^{l}\alpha_{r}x(t-r) \] have periodic solutions. It is shown that the set of stability of the perturbed equation approaches the set of stability of the limit equation.
