The article completes the paper by \textit{A. Kouibia, A. J. López-Linares} and \textit{M. Pasadas} [ibid. 193, No. 1, 51--64 (2006; Zbl 1101.65018)] which focuses on a smoothing method of construction of some discontinuous curve or surface from the Lagrangean data and the tangent conditions. Here, the finite set of points and tangent conditions are considered as the given data. The computation of a discrete spline in a finite element space and the establishing of a convergence result are presented. To show the efficiency of the suggested method, some numerical and graphical examples are included in the paper.
