This paper provides eigenvalue estimates for block incomplete factorization methods for symmetric matrices. Some previous results on upper bounds for the maximum eigenvalue of preconditioned matrices are first generalized to each eigenvalue. Then new and improved upper bounds for the maximum eigenvalue of the preconditioned matrix are introduced. These results are used to estimate bounds for every eigenvalue.
