\textit{G. Faltings} and \textit{G. Wüstholz} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 354, 175--205 (1984; Zbl 0543.14029)] generalized the notion of Albanese variety for smooth noncomplete varieties. On the other hand, a generalization of the notion of Albanese variety for singular projective varieties was done by \textit{H. Esnault, V. Srinivas} and \textit{E. Viehweg} [Invent. Math. 135, No. 3, 595--664 (1999; Zbl 0954.14003)]. In this article the author investigates the relation between these two generalizations over \(\mathbb{C}\). The main theorem sates that for every reduce projective scheme fulfilling some conditions, these two Albanese varieties are isomorphic to each other, and shows that the conditions are satisfied for the case of reduced irreducible projective curves.
