Existence results in critical spaces for a system of inhomogeneous MHD (Q2464589): Difference between revisions

In this paper, the authors prove that the incompressible MHD system with variable density \(\rho\), velocity \({\mathbf v}\), magnetic field \({\mathbf B}\), density-dependent viscosity coefficient \(\mu(\rho)\) and density-dependent electric conductivity \(\sigma(\rho)\) is well-posed in the homogeneous Besov space when the initial data satisfy the inclusion \[ \left(\rho^{-1}_0,{\mathbf v},{\mathbf B}\right)\in \dot{B}^{3/p}_{p\;1}({\mathbb R}^3) \times \left(\dot{B}^{3/p-1}_{p\;1}({\mathbb R}^3)\right)^3 \times \left(\dot{B}^{3/p-1}_{p\;1}({\mathbb R}^3)\right)^3, \] for \(1<p\leq 3\), provided that the initial density \(\rho_0\) is close to a constant under the conditions \[ 0<\underline{\mu}\leq \mu(\rho),\;\;\;0<\underline{\sigma}\leq \sigma(\rho)\leq\overline{\sigma} \;\;\text{and}\;\mu,\;\sigma\in C^{\infty}. \] A result of global existence and uniqueness in the Sobolev framework \[ H^{3/2+\alpha}({\mathbb R}^3) \times \left(H^{3/2-1+\alpha}({\mathbb R}^3)\right)^3 \times \left(H^{N/2-1+\alpha}({\mathbb R}^3)\right)^3, \] is also proved for any \(\alpha>0\), without any condition for the smallness of density.
