Algebras of holomorphic mappings in (DF)-spaces (Q2465608): Difference between revisions

Let \(E\) be a complex barrelled (DF)-space, let \(U \subseteq E\) be an absolutely convex open subset and let \(F\) be a complex Banach algebra. In the first part of the paper, the authors show that the algebras \({\mathcal H}_b(U,F)\) and \({\mathcal H}_{wu}(U,F)\) of holomorphic \(U\)-bounded functions and of holomorphic functions which are uniformly weakly continuous on \(U\)-bounded sets, respectively, are Fréchet algebras with respect to the topology of uniform convergence on the \(U\)-bounded sets. As a second result, the authors compute the spectra \({\mathcal M}\) of these algebras. Under the additional assumption that \(E'_\beta\) has the approximation property (for the first formula) and the yet stronger condition \(P_{\text{fin}}(^nE,F)\) is dense in \(P(^nE,F)\) (for the second formula), they prove that \[ {\mathcal M}(H_{wu}(U,F))=\text{ int }~U^{\circ \circ} \times {\mathcal M}(F)~ \text{ and }~ {\mathcal M}(H_{b}(U,F))=\text{ int }~U^{\circ \circ} \times {\mathcal M}(F). \] Finally, the authors obtain as an application for the case that \(E\) is a (DFM)-space with approximation property that every proper finitely generated ideal of \(H_b(U)\) has a common zero.
