There is a well-known correspondence between the porous medium equation \[ {\partial u\over\partial t}= \Delta(|u|^{m-1} u) \] and the evolutionary \(p\)-Laplacian equation \[ {\partial v\over\partial t}= \text{div}(|\nabla v|^{p-2}\nabla v). \] In one spatial variable it reads \(u={\partial v\over\partial x}\), \(m= p-1\), but in several variables the correspondence is rather implicit. However, the radially symmetric case leads to explicit formulas, which are derived in the present paper. In particular, the formulas obtained are applied to the celebrated Barenblatt solutions. Even some new solutions are found.
