The article is devoted to \(\tau \)-closed and \(\tau \)-algebraic sets in a group G. Their unconditional families are considered. A sufficient condition for an equivalence of these properties in groups is elucidated. The results of the paper further develop theorems of Markov and Podewski. Particular cases of the general theorems are specified in corollaries as well.
