    Consider the delay reaction-diffusion equation \[ {\partial u\over\partial t}= {\partial^2u\over\partial x^2}-\delta u+ p(f*u)e^{-a(f*u)},\tag{1} \] where the parameters \(\delta\), \(p\), \(a\) are positive, \[ (f* u)(x, t)= \int^t_{-\infty} \int^\infty_{-\infty} f(x- y,t- s)u(y, s)\,dy\,ds\tag{2} \] with \[ f(x, t)= {1\over\sqrt{4\pi t}}\,e^{-{x^2\over t}}{t\over\tau^2} e^{-{t\over\tau}}.\tag{3} \] The parameter \(\tau\) measures the delay. For \(p>\delta> 0\), (1)--(3) has the nonnegative equilibria \(u^*_0\equiv 0\) and \(u^*_p\equiv {1\over a}(\ln p-\ln\delta)\). By means of geometric singular perturbation theory, the authors establish a travelling wave solution \(u(x,t)= \phi(x+ ct)\) of (1)--(3) connecting the equilibria \(u^*_0\) and \(u^*_p\) for \(c\geq 2\sqrt{p-\delta}\) and sufficiently small \(\tau\).
