In this interesting paper the nonlinear nonautonomous second-order periodic system \[ -\| x'(t)\| ^{p-2}x'(t)\in \partial j(t,x)+h(t),\text{ a.e. on }T:=[0,b], \] \[ x(0)=x(b),\;x'(0)=x'(b),\;1<p<+\infty \] is investigated, where \(h\in L^1\) and the potential function \(j\) is in general nondifferentiable and locally Lipschitz. Handling adequately suitable tools from nonlinear analysis in Banach spaces and by using variational methods based on nonsmooth critical point theory provides the author sufficient conditions for the existence and multiplicity of the solutions.
