Some time ago, \textit{B. L. Chalmers} and the second author [Rocky Mountain J. Math. 28, No. 3, 813--834 (1998; Zbl 0932.47029)] considered, among other things, the problem of finding a projection from a real Banach space onto a finite-dimensional subspace, leaving invariant a convex cone. Theorem 2.2 of that paper is generalized here, by weakening the assumptions made on the cone. Several illustrative examples are included.
