By adopting a new step-size rule, the authors propose a new projection method for solving variational inequality problems, which can be viewed as an improvement of some other methods. Under certain conditions, the sequence generated by the method converges to a solution of the variational inequality problem globally. Some computational results prove the efficiency of the method. The authors have insisted on elementary techniques, and this preference reveals a great deal more about the presentation of the research work.
