The author defines a JB-ring as a ring \(R\) for which \(R/J(R)\) is a QB-ring in the sense of \textit{P. Ara, G. K. Pedersen}, and \textit{F. Perera} [J. Algebra 230, No. 2, 608-655 (2000; Zbl 0963.16008)], where \(J(R)\) is the Jacobson radical of \(R\). Various necessary and sufficient conditions are established, and passage of the JB property to endomorphism rings of finitely generated projective modules, finite subdirect products, and power series rings is proved.
