For a certain class of bounded functions \(f\) defined on the interval \([0,\infty )\), the Balazs-Kantorovich-Bézier operators \(L_{n,\alpha}(f,x),\) \(\alpha \geq 1\) are considered. These operators are represented with the help of suitably chosen positive numbers \(a_n\), depending on \(a_n\) and a parameter \(\alpha\) and some rational functions \(Q_{n,\alpha }^{(\alpha )}(x)\). Namely, \(L_{n,\alpha}(f,x)=na_n\sum _{k=0}^n\;Q_{n,k} ^{(\alpha )}(x)\int _{I_{n,k}}f(t)dt,\;n\in N\), where \(I_{n,k}=[k/na_n\;,\;(k+1)/na_n]\). The rate of convergence for the deviation \(|L_{n,\alpha }(f,x)-2^{-\alpha }f(x+)- (1-2^{-\alpha })f(x-)|\) at a fixed point \(x\in (0,\infty )\) are obtained.
