    Summary: We consider the Lagrangian \[ L(y_{1}, \dot{y}_{1}, y_{2}, \dot{y}_{2}, q, \dot{q}) = \frac{1}{2} (\dot{y}_{1}^{2} - \omega_{1}^{2} y_{1}^{2}) + \frac{1}{2} (\dot{y}_{2}^{2} - \omega_{2}^{2} y_{2}^{2}) + \frac{1}{2} \dot{q}^{2} + (1+ \delta (y_{1}, y_{2})) V(q), \] where \(V\) is non-negative, periodic in \(q\) and such that \(V(0) = V'(0) = 0\). We prove, using critical point theory, the existence of infinitely many solutions of the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equations which are asymptotic, as \(t \to \pm \infty\), to invariant tori in the center manifold of the origin, that is, to solutions of te form \[ q(t)=0, \quad y_{1} (t) = R \cos (\omega_{1} t + \varphi_{1}),\quad y_{2} (t) = R \cos (\omega_{2} t + \varphi_{2}). \]
