The authors study \(K3\) surfaces with a non-symplectic automorphism of order 3. In the first part the toplogical structure of the fixed locus is such automorphisms is studied. The fixed locus is a disjoint of at most 9 points and at most 6 smooth curves. In the second part the locus of \(K3\) surfaces with a non-symplectic automorphism of order 3 is studied (within the moduli space of \(K3\) surfaces). This locus consists of three components. Two of these components have dimension 9, the third component has dimension 6. One of the nine-dimensional components is birational to the moduli space of genus 4 curves.
