Let \(\theta\) be an inner automorphism of a Banach algebra \(A\). The authors consider linear maps \(\delta:A\to A\) satisfying \(\delta(xy) = \theta(x)\delta(y) + \theta(y)\delta(x)\) and \(\theta\delta=\delta\theta\), and show that under various conditions they have the range in the radical of \(A\).
