The authors consider the nonintegrability for general nonlinear systems under the simple resonant case, i.e. the Jacobian matrix of vector field at some fixed point has some single multiply zero eigenvalues, and some nonzero eigenvalues which are \(N\)-independent. For simplicity, the authors consider system \[ \begin{aligned} \dot u &= G(u,v),\\ \dot v &= Bu+ H(u,v),\end{aligned} \] where \(u= (u_1,u_2,\dots, u_m)\in \mathbb{C}^m\), \(v= (v_1,v_2,\dots, v_n)\in\mathbb{C}^n\), \(B\) is an \(n\times n\) matrix, \(G(u,v)\) and \(H(u,v)\) are analytic, \(G(0,0)= 0\), \(H(0,0)= 0\) and \(G(u,v)= 0((|(u,v)|^2)^2, Hu,v)= 0(|(u,v)|^2)\). By using the Poincaré-Dulac normal form theory, this paper gives a sufficient condition for the system under consideration to not have any formal first integral, i.e., the system is nonintegrable.
