The author proposes the following notion of bounded variation: a double sequence \(x\) is of bounded variation if, for some positive integer \(A\), \[ \sum_{i,j=1}| x_{m,n}-x_{m,n+1}-x_{m+1,n}+x_{m+1,n+1}| <A. \] Using this definition, the author formulates and proves a Tauberian type theorem.
