The author proves in an elementary way that the interior of every convex \(n\)-gon (\(n\geq 4\)) can be illuminated by \(k=4\) \(\alpha\)-vertex-floodlights with \(\alpha =180^o =45^o\). The question for which \(k>4\) every convex \(n\)-gon (\(n\geq k\)) can be illuminated by \(k\) \(\alpha\)-vertex-floodlights with \(\alpha =180^o/k\) remains open.
