\textit{D. Niebur} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 191, 373--385 (1974; Zbl 0306.30023)] found a function equation which characterizes automorphic forms of positive dimension with Fourier coefficients given by the Rademacher series for a group \(\Gamma\) and a multiplier system \(v\), where \(\Gamma\) is a discrete subgroup in \(\text{SL}_2(\mathbb R)\), its fundamental domain has exactly one cusp and absolute values \(|v(A)|=1\) for all \(A\in \Gamma\). In this article, the author extends this result to generalized modular forms for a subgroup of finite index in the full modular group and a multiplier system \(v\), where \(|v|\) is not necessarily \(1\). In the construction of generalized modular integrals, the author follows Niebur construction of automorphic integrals.
