A linear bounded operator \(A\) on a separable complex Hilbert space \({\mathcal H}\) is called \textit{Jordan-like} if there exists a sequence of finite-dimensional subspaces \(\{ {\mathcal H}_{n}\} \) such that \(A=\bigoplus A_{n}\) on \({\mathcal H}=\bigoplus {\mathcal H}_{n}\) and restrictions \(A|_{{\mathcal H}_{n}}\) are compressions of co-analytic Toeplitz operators to the spaces \({\mathcal H}_{n}\). The paper gives necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for a Jordan-like operator to admit spectral synthesis, that is, for each of its invariant subspaces to be the closed linear span of the root vectors it contains.
