Reduction of underdetermined systems of ordinary differential equations. I (Q2269344): Difference between revisions

The author considers the classification of underdetermined systems of quasi-linear autonomous ordinary differential equations under smooth transformations of the dependent variables. For this purpose, the differential equations are transformed into equivalent Pfaffian systems. The main result of the current article is a complete list of normal forms for the case of two equations for three unknown functions. It turns out that there are five normal forms without moduli and one depending on an arbitrary function of the dependent variables.
