Are basic algebras residuated structures? It is a natural question if basic algebras can be considered as residuated lattices. In this paper, the authors show that for commutative basic algebra this is the case, and for non-commutative ones they involve a modified adjointness condition which gives rise to a new generalization of residuated lattice.
