    A characterization of a chaotic attractor is given newly by means of a minimal set of independent parameters. The main problem concerns the mapping of the \(f(\alpha)\) spectrum of a chaotic attractor to that of a general two scale Cantor measure. This procedure is discussed from various points of view.
