The model of directed polymers in a Gaussian or bounded (random) environment is considered with a focus on various probabilistic laws of the environment. A lower tail concentration inequality for the partition function for bounded environments is established, thus improving earlier concentration inequalities obtained for Gaussian environments. This result, together with a local limit theorem [\textit{Y. Sinai}, Fundam. Math. 147, No.2, 173--180 (1995; Zbl 0835.60062)] allows to prove the \(L^1\) convergence of the density in law of the environment seen by the particle, with respect to the product measure.
