The authors consider hyperbolic total automorphisms providing important examples of chaotic dynamical systems. By generalizing automorphisms on tori the (infra-)nil endomorphisms defined on (infra-)nil manifolds are studied. In particular, it is shown that every infra-nil endomorphism has dense eventually periodic points.
