The authors establish a discrete Fourier analysis on the fundamental domain of the \(A_d\) lattice in \(d\)-dimensional euclidean space that is comparable with the classical theory in one variable. They study Fourier analysis in trigonometric functions, interpolation, and cubature formulas. Also, a trigonometric Lagrange interpolation on the simplex is shown to satisfy an explicit compact formula and the Lebesgue constant of the interpolation is shown to be in the order \((\log n)d\). The study common zeros of Chebyshev polynomials and show that they are nodes for a family of gaussian cubature formulas. Several examples are given.
