The authors introduce a simple, compact formulation of the general (1+1)-dimensional dilaton gravity with multi exponential Potentials and found the conditions that allow finding its explicit solutions using the Toda theory. The simplest class of theories satisfying these conditions is connected with the Toda-Liouville (TL) equations. The most difficult problem in the TL dilation gravity is to solve the energy and momentum constraints. The authors discuss this problem using the simplest examples and identify the main obstacles to solving it analytically. For static states and cosmologies study a more general one-dimensional TL model typically emerging in one-dimensional reductions of higher-dimensional gravity and supergravity theories. Especially attend to making the analytic structure of solutions of the Toda equations as simple and transparent as possible.
