In this paper, the asymptotic stability of numerical solutions to linear time-invariant differential-algebraic equations with multiple delays by block boundary value methods is analysed. First, the authors extend the boundary value methods that are proposed for ordinary differential equations by \textit{P. Amodio, F. Mazzia} and \textit{D. Trigiante} [BIT 33, No.~3, 434--451 (1993; Zbl 0795.65041)], and for differential-algebraic equations and by \textit{P. Amodio} and \textit{F. Mazzia} [Numer. Math. 66, No.~4, 411--421 (1994; Zbl 0791.65052)] to delay differential-algebraic equations. Under the stability condition for the exact solution given by \textit{S. L. Campbell} and \textit{V. H. Linh} [Appl. Math. Comput. 208, No.~2, 397--415 (2009; Zbl 1169.65079)], sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure that the numerical solutions by block boundary value methods preserve the asymptotic stability of the exact solution. Several numerical examples are given for illustration.
