The authors of this interesting paper investigate three integrable two-dimensional systems of Hénon-Heiles type with their integrable perturbations. The Hénon-Heiles Hamiltonian has the form \[ H=\dfrac{1}{2}(p_1^2+p_2^2)+\dfrac{1}{2}(q_1^2+q_2^2)+\lambda (q_1^2q_2-\dfrac{1}{3}q_2^3) \] that was introduced by M. Hénon and C. Heiles during 1964. This is a mathematical model of a Newtonian axially-symmetric galactic system. Later it was introduced a more general Hamiltonian defined by \[ {\mathcal{H}}^{(2)}=\dfrac{1}{2}(p_1^2+p_2^2)+\delta q_1^2+(\delta +\Omega )q_2^2 + \alpha (q_1^2q_2+\beta q_2^3). \] It was proven that the only Liouville-integrable members of the generalized 2D Hénon-Heiles Hamiltonians can be clasified according to the values of some parameters: (i) \(\beta =1/3\), \(\Omega =0\) - the Sawada-Kotera case; (ii) \(\beta =2\) and \(\Omega \) is arbitrary - KdV case; (iii) \(\beta =16/3\), \(\Omega =15\delta \) - the Kaup-Kupershmidt case. These three integrable cases correspond to the stationary flows of three integrable fifth-order polynomial nonlinear evolution equations. Here the authors present a novel Poisson-algebraic approach to the integrability properties of the Hénon-Heiles systems and their perturbations, that can be straightforwardly applied to any 2D integrable potential of the form \(\nu (q_1^2,q_2)\). A family of new integrable perturbations is found, and \(N\)-dimensional completely integrable generalizations of all these systems are constructed by making use of \(sl(2,\mathbb{R})\oplus h_3\) as their underlying Poisson symmetry algebra. This approach could be applied to obtain \(N\)-dimensional integrable generalizations of any 2D integrable potential of the special form as above stated \(\nu (q_1^2,q_2)\). The original method established by the authors for the considered problem gives the explicit form of all the integrals of the motion. It turns out that there exists a generalization for the multiparametric \(N\)-dimensional Hamiltonian defined as \[ {\mathcal{H}}^{(N)}=\dfrac{1}{2}\sum\limits_{i=1}^{N-1}(p_1^2+\dfrac{b_i}{q_1^2})+\dfrac{1}{2}p_N^2 + \nu \biggl(\sum\limits_{i=1}^{N-1}q_i^2,q_N\biggr) , \] that is completely integrable provided that the function \(\nu \) is any of the 2D integrable Hénon-Heiles potentials. Moreover, the full set of integrals of the motion for the above stated generalized Hamiltonian \({\mathcal{H}}^{(N)}\) can be explicitly obtained as a consequence of its underlying \(sl(2,\mathbb{R})\oplus h_3\) symmetry.
