The authors study the bursting behavior in the dynamics of a logistic map with a time-dependent control parameter. They show that for a given realization, a stochastically driven logistic map in the on-off intermittent regime converges independently of the initial conditions to the same temporal dynamics. Moreover, the authors study the dynamics of two coupled on-off logistic maps driven by separate random processes and show that bursting becomes at least partially coherent for a large range of coupling strengths with a smooth dependence of coherency on the coupling parameter.
