It is shown as the main result in this paper that two extended holomorphic curves from a connected open set of \(\mathbb C\) to the set of all idempotents in a unital Banach algebra \(\mathfrak A\) (see \textit{M.\,Martin} and \textit{N.\,Salinas} [J.~Oper.\ Theory 38, No.\,2, 329--365 (1997; Zbl 0910.47030)]) are equivalent up to similarity if and only if their associated commutant subalgebra of \(\mathfrak A\) (different from the usual commutant) has the \(K_0\)-group isomorphic to a free abelian group, up to ordered in a certain sense, under several assumptions, as one of which, the diagonal sums of those curves have unique decompositions up to similarity. Also considered is the unitary equivalence of the curves in the case where \(\mathfrak A\) is a certain inductive limit \(C^*\)-algebra as in [\textit{L.-Q. Li}, ``Classification of simple \(C^*\)-algebras: Inductive limits of matrix algebras over trees'' (Mem.\ Am.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 605) (1997; Zbl 0883.46039)].
