It is known that the gradient of the solution for the Poisson equation can be bounded by Riesz potential. The main aim of this paper is to establish a similar estimate for the solution of a quasilinear equation. By using a De Giorgi type iteration argument and a localized version of the Riesz potential, the author obtains pointwise gradient estimates for the solution of a nonhomogeneous quasilinear equation, which is very similar to that of the Poisson equation.
