The paper provides estimates for second order elliptic and parabolic equations in divergence and non-divergence form, not involving terms of lower order. Assuming Hölder continuity of the right-hand side only with respect to some of the independent variables (and only little regularity with respect to the others), two more derivatives of the solution (that is two derviatives if the right-hand side is partially Hölder continuous, and one derivative if the right-hand side is merely a divergence of such a function) can be estimated in the same partial Hölder seminorms. The proofs combine Safonov's ideas with a method of partial mollification inspired by Trudinger.
