The authors establish criteria for the boundedness of the solutions of the system of two \(k\)-th order rational difference equations \[ x_n=\frac{\alpha+\sum_{i=1}^k\beta_ix_{n-i}+\sum_{i=1}^k\gamma_iy_{n-i}}{A+\sum_{j=1}^kB_jx_{n-j}+\sum_{j=1}^kC_jy_{n-j}}, \quad y_n=\frac{p+\sum_{i=1}^k\delta_ix_{n-i}+\sum_{i=1}^k\epsilon_iy_{n-i}}{P+\sum_{j=1}^kD_jx_{n-j}+\sum_{j=1}^kE_jy_{n-j}} \] for \(n\in{\mathbb N}\). Their new criteria extend several recent results of a similar type, which considered just one equation of this form.
