Let \(X\) denote a closed Alexandrov space with an effective isometric \(G\) action of cohomogeneity one. To state the first result here, let \(H\) denote the principal isotropy, let \(N(H)\) be the normalizer of \(H\) and let \(X/G\) be the orbit space of the action. It is proved that (i) if \(X/G\) is an interval, then \(X\) is the union of two fiber bundles over the two singular orbits whose fibres are cones over positively curved homogeneous spaces and (ii) if \(X/G\) is a circle, then \(X\) is equivalently homeomorphic to a \(G/H\)-bundle over a circle with structure \(N(H)/H\) and in particular \(X\) is a manifold. The second result states that, if \(X\) is 3-dimensional, then \(G\) is \(SO(3)\) or \(T^2\) and the only non-manifold is the spherical suspension of \(\mathbb RP^2\). As a corollary, a classification of closed, \(n\)-dimensional, cohomogeneity one Alexandrov spaces admitting an isometric \(T^{n-1}\) action is obtained.
