The paper provides a uniqueness result for a limit cycle of the following Liénard equation \[ \ddot{x}+ \sum_{j=1}^{J} f_{j}(x)\dot{x}^j+g(x)=0. \] The proof is based on a recent extension of Massera's theorem.
