    Summary: We define the class of almost \(\alpha\)-hyponormal operators and prove that for an operator \(T\) in this class, \((T^{\ast} T)^{\alpha} - (TT^{\ast})^{\alpha}\) is trace-class, its trace is zero when \(\alpha \in (0,1]\), and the area of the Weyl spectrum is zero.
