The authors address a question raised by Cecil and Ryan by exhibiting the horo-tight immersions of spheres in hyperbolic space. Their main results give several characterisations of such immersions. For example, it is shown that horo-tight hyperspheres are characterised by the following property: Both of its total absolute horospherical curvatures attain their minimal value. Moreover, a notion of weak horo-tightness is introduced and related results are established.
