    A new solution to the geometric Hermite interpolation problem is proposed using rational Bézier ellipses. The presented method reproduces circles and the regular ellipses are reproduced by ellipses with minimal eccentricity. The computational performances of the proposed solution are revealed in a theorem that provides a method to determine the weight of the control points such that the minimal eccentricity is obtained. Some examples illustrating the method are presented.
