The author introduces a differential isomorphism acting on the space of analytic functions of a single variable. By using iterative combinations of these isomorphisms acting on functions of two or three variables, general classes of Tricomi and Hermite-Tricomi functions are introduced which are related to so-called Laguerre-type exponential functions. Mainly using generating functions several properties of these generalized Tricomi and Hermite-Tricomi functions are derived.
