Blueprints are a common generalization of commutative semirings and commutative monoids. The associated geometric objects -- blue schemes -- thus form a generalization of the usual Grothendieck schemes (over \(\mathbb{Z}\)) and \(\mathbb{F}_1\)-geometry à la Deitmar-Kato (over the deeper base \(\mathbb{F}_1\), the ``field with one element''). In the present note, the authors adapt/generalize the Proj-construction for Grothendieck schemes to blue schemes. For Deitmar-Kato schemes, this treatment was first carried out by the reviewer, see ``The combinatorial-motivic nature of \(\mathbb{F}_1\)-schemes'' (chapter 3 in \textit{Absolute Arithmetic and \(\mathbb{F}_1\)-Geometry} (ed. K. Thas), Preprint, 2013). They consider the case of the Grassmannian \(\mathrm{Gr}(2,4)\) in more detail.
