Let \(m\) and \(n\) be two natural integers, \(\rho\colon\mathbb Z/m\mathbb Z\to\Aut_{\mathbb Z}(\mathbb Z^n)\) be a group homomorphism and \(\mathbb Z^n\rtimes_\rho\mathbb Z/m\mathbb Z\) be the associated semi-direct product. In this paper, the authors show that, if the action (via \(\rho\)) of \(\mathbb Z/m\mathbb Z\) on \(\mathbb Z^n\) is free outside the origin, then the Tate cohomology \(\widehat H^i(\mathbb Z/m\mathbb Z;\Lambda^j(\mathbb Z^n))\) vanishes if \(i+j\) is odd (\(\Lambda^j\) denotes the \(j\)-th exterior power). They determine the group cohomology of \(\mathbb Z^n\rtimes_\rho\mathbb Z/m\mathbb Z\) in high dimension and they prove (under the previous condition) that the Lyndon-Hochschild-Serre spectral sequence associated to this semi-direct product collapses (the authors show that this is not true in general) [see \textit{A. Adem} et al., J. Algebra 320, No. 1, 341-353 (2008; Zbl 1163.20032)].
